Superintendent's Art Show

These students placed in the Superintendent's Art Show:  1st place-Zaneria Harrison, 2nd place-Imani Booker, 3rd place-KaTaja Brown, 4th place-Tracavion Robertson, 5th place-A'Daysha Fulford, 6th place-Phadrian Evans, & 7th place-Montrelvion Funderburg. Congratulations to these 7 students!!

Tennessee Aquarium

 Salter's 1st Graders took the trip of a lifetime to...The Tennessee Aquarium on Thursday, November 8, 2012. This trip went along with the ocean unit the 1st Grade teachers have been studying. The students were able to tour the salt water aquarium & the fresh water aquarium. The students also toured the butterfly garden. Our students were very well-behaved & we had LOTS of parent volunteers go with us. Thank you to everyone that went! We had a blast!!

Drug Free Week

 Detective Patrick Thornton made a special visit to Salter Elementary today. He talked with the students about how important being drug free is. He also showed the students in the upper grades a drug free video. We appreciate Detective Thornton coming out and stressing the importance of being drug free!

~Boss's Day~

Yesterday, we celebrated Boss's Day with our wonderful boss! The faculty & staff surprised Mrs. Griffin with banners, a decorated office, and LOTS of yummy food! We are blessed beyond measure to have Mrs. Griffin as our boss! Thanks for being the caring, understanding, and compassionate person that you are, Mrs. Griffin! <3 We LOVE you! <3



THS Pep Rally

 Today, C. L. Salter students participated in the THS Homecoming Pep Rally! THS band members, football players, cheerleaders, and danceline came to Salter to "pep" our students up for Homecoming! Our students had a blast participating in the THS Homecoming Pep Rally!

Talladega Robotics Team

The Talladega Robotics Team came to show the 6th Graders their robot. Regan and Matthew are the high schoolers demonstrating how the robot works. Marqwentice and Kyaira were allowed to operate the robot after the demonstration by the high schoolers. Thanks, Mr. Huss, for allowing your students to show our 6th Graders the robot!
