Ambassadors Visit The Talladega Healthcare Facility

"The Principle's Principals"

FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is a relationship between two or more people who enjoy being together.  Choose good friends who are respectful and kind and who will help you make good choices. Friends listen, care, trust, respect, and understand each other. They laugh, cry, play, work, and learn together.  Without friendship, the world would be a very lonely place.  Each day we should be challenged to make new friends. .  Maybe we could ask a new friend to sit beside us at lunch or choose a different friend to play with at recess.  Everybody needs a friend.  Always remember - The best way to have a good friend is to be a good friend.

Mosaics at Salter

Friday, December 5th, the gifted class at Salter had a special guest. Miss Lindsey Moses, a stained glass artist of Southern Accents in Talladega, came to visit and teach Ms. Kearley's students about working with glass and making mosaics. The students used carbon paper to transfer their patterns onto wood then glued stained glass pieces onto the patterns to create snowmen. Lindsey also shared information with Reagan, Elijah, Kyla, and Autumn about her art and the tools she uses. Everyone enjoyed the activities and got to take home a wonderful piece of art.

"The Principal's Principles"

EXCELLENCE - Excellence means that something is very good or exceptional. It does not happen quickly or easily, but takes hard work and perseverance. Authors of stories usually sign their names on stories they write. This identifies the creator. You are creating a work of art when you complete your school assignments. Make you work a masterpiece by doing it with excellence! Every one can be excellent in one area .... EFFORT. Excellent effort happens when you work very hard and try to do your best work at school. A wise man named Aristotle said: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Good habits can help you accomplish great things. Bad habits can cause you to fail. Make an effort to develop good habits of excellence at home or at school.
