On Friday, May 20th, Salter students enjoyed Water Day!! The students participated in several different relay races and they enjoyed a HUGE water slide that we rented!

On Thursday, May 19, K-3 had Awards Day. Awards Day went very well & we recognized several students who have tried their best all year long! Salter is very proud of our students! Keep up the good work!

Today we had Field Day at Salter Elementary! Field Day consisted of the following sports games: ball relay, egg race, hula-hoop, parachute, kickball, jump rope, & 3 legged race. The students enjoyed this day the Outdoor Classroom organized for us!

Kitris Hann Memorial Day

Today was a very special day at C.L. Salter Elementary School. We celebrated the life of our former 4th Grade student, Kitris Hann. The agenda was as follows: Mrs. Griffin welcomed & presented a plaque that will hang in the school, Mr. Campbell addressed a proclamation in honor of Kitris Hann Day, Ms. D. Smith presented the yearbook dedicated in memory of Kitris, Mrs. Varnedore presented the butterfly bushes that will be planted on the school grounds honoring Kitris, 1st Grade teachers released butterflies, Ms. Hare presented a letter from Ronald McDonald House, Ms. Ensley & Ms. Joiner presented blankets (which will be signed by Gene Chizik & donated to charaties), 4th Grade students gave one word tributes, and to conclude the memorial, everyone sang "Angels Among Us" by Alabama. Concluding the ceremony, balloons were released to greet Kitris in Heaven & let her know C.L. Salter misses her every day. Kitris, you will be forever missed, but NEVER forgotten!
