Meningococcal meningitis is a SERIOUS bacterial infection. It can potentially kill an otherwise healthy young person within one (1) day after the first symptoms appear. Meningococcal disease can cause death or disability within just one (1) day. Getting your child vaccinated is the best way to help protect preteens from meningococcal meningitis.
