National Children's Author/Illustrator Week

February 2-8, 2013 was National Children's Author/Illustrator Week. Mrs. Korreckt, our librarian, invited author/illustrator C. L. Threatt to come and share his books with our children. Through poetry and puppets Mr. Threatt brought the words to his books alive. Thank you Mr. Threatt for visiting our school!

Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Chris Stephens for being selected Elementary Teacher of the Year for Talladega City Schools as well as Janice Stephens for being chosen  Secondary Teacher of the Year. Your hard work and dedication is being used to shape the lives of students in Talladega City Schools. Thank you both for the super jobs you have done!

JSU Teacher of the Year

We would like to offer our congratulations to Mrs. Mary Sims for being voted  JSU Teacher of the Year for Talladega City Schools. Mrs. Sims currently works as a second grade teacher at C.L. Salter Elementary School. Thank you Mrs. Sims for teaching and loving our students each day.

Agri-Science Class

Thank you to the Ag-Science Class of Talladega High School for making the campus of Salter Elementary School  a more beautiful place. These students did a great job, along with the help of Mr. Mitchell, adding loads of mulch to our existing shrubs and flowers.
