Drug Free Week

 Detective Patrick Thornton made a special visit to Salter Elementary today. He talked with the students about how important being drug free is. He also showed the students in the upper grades a drug free video. We appreciate Detective Thornton coming out and stressing the importance of being drug free!

~Boss's Day~

Yesterday, we celebrated Boss's Day with our wonderful boss! The faculty & staff surprised Mrs. Griffin with banners, a decorated office, and LOTS of yummy food! We are blessed beyond measure to have Mrs. Griffin as our boss! Thanks for being the caring, understanding, and compassionate person that you are, Mrs. Griffin! <3 We LOVE you! <3



THS Pep Rally

 Today, C. L. Salter students participated in the THS Homecoming Pep Rally! THS band members, football players, cheerleaders, and danceline came to Salter to "pep" our students up for Homecoming! Our students had a blast participating in the THS Homecoming Pep Rally!

Talladega Robotics Team

The Talladega Robotics Team came to show the 6th Graders their robot. Regan and Matthew are the high schoolers demonstrating how the robot works. Marqwentice and Kyaira were allowed to operate the robot after the demonstration by the high schoolers. Thanks, Mr. Huss, for allowing your students to show our 6th Graders the robot!

Salter's teachers went above and beyond this year decorating pumpkins! Take a scroll & see our teacher's creativity...

FALL FESTIVAL

Salter Elementary will have a fall festival on Thursday, November 15th from 5:30-7:30. Some of the activities will include:  face painting, duck pond game, bounce house, fishing booth, photo booth, cake walk, arts & crafts, darts, & bowling. We will be serving food and a drink. The THS cheerleaders will also be at SES on this night. Come join us in our fun & games! Happy Fall, Y'all!!

Crane Book Fair

Mrs. Korreckt, the librarian, will be hosting a Crane book fair on the following dates:  Tuesday, October 3-Tuesday, October 9. The time of the book fair will be 8:30AM-3:00PM each day. The place of the book fair will be in the library. Come support Salter's library by purchasing books from the Crane book fair!
