ATTENTION, PARENTS: READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Can we just go ahead and say we have THE best school nurse EVER?  Nurse Joan wants to make sure we are all healthy and takes good care of us all.  This is a public service announcement from Nurse Joan.  Please read and heed the following; it could save a life!

Meningococcal meningitis is a SERIOUS bacterial infection.  It can potentially kill an otherwise healthy young person within one (1) day after the first symptoms appear.  Meningococcal disease can cause death or disability within just one (1) day.  Getting your child vaccinated is the best way to help protect preteens from meningococcal meningitis.  For more information please visit: www.voicesofmeningitis.org.

ALS challenge and pie in the face

READING, HELPING & FUN:  C. L. SALTER HAS IT ALL!

In an effort to have the best BookFair anyone has ever seen, Salter's Librarian,Nicole Korreckt challenged the students by letting the top spenders choose a faculty member to "pie in the face."  It worked because we DID have the best BookFair EVER!  And because we had to stay at work after our delicious "pie in the face", we decided to challenge each other (Staff) with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  The students have stepped up, once again, and have helped to make this a successful fund raising event, too!

As you can see by some of the photos, C. L. Salter is the BEST, MOST FUN PLACE EVER to grow and learn!
